A Meeting With God

My worship professor in seminary regularly said that “Worship is a meeting with God, not a meeting about God.” I think our sermons are liable to be more about God than with God, though. What does it look like for your sermons to be a conversation with God instead of a talk about God? I’m still trying to learn this myself, but one way.I thought to do this for today’s sermon was by giving the Holy Spirit space to tell me how He wanted to end the sermon today. As I was getting near the end of the sermon, I was trying to listen to the Holy Spirit to hear what He was doing and decide how to land the plane.
