A Preaching Tip from the Braves GM

This preaching tip was shared by Preacher’s Block co-founder, Hunter Bethea. If you’re interested in joining the most focused preachers in the world, sign up here.

I was listening to the Opening Day radio broadcast for the Atlanta Braves and the Braves GM, Alex Anthopoulos, shared something that made me think, “That’s a good preaching tip!”

Alex A was sharing about some of the changes the Braves had made in the off-season and said that his philosophy as a GM is to just try several new things and see what works. He pointed out that some of the small changes lead to big dividends and the big changes never pay off; you just never know. I thought this was appropriate for us to consider as we think about growing as preachers. It’s helpful for us to try out new things in our preaching over time. You never know what’s going to connect with your congregation, so try both small and large changes and see what sticks!
